The Power of Music in Dementia Care (Online)

Have you ever noticed that music has the power to elicit feelings, emotions and memory better than nearly anything else? It has been proven that music stimulates more parts of the brain than any other human function. It has the ability to heal, to help us learn, to help us remember, to help us connect and so much more.

This presentation will cover how music can specifically be used in dementia care with your loved one. We will review common uses of music in dementia care, including specific activities that you can use, techniques and tips on how to best utilize it in your daily routines and how to ensure it is used most effectively. We will also look at some wonderful music resources for you and your loved one to engage in together - no music experience required!
