This 10 class course (20 noncredit contact hours) offers a unique opportunity for professionals to learn more about the complex dynamics of elder abuse. Each class is taught by New York State and national experts in the elder abuse field, with whom students will have the opportunity to interact. You may obtain a certificate after completing the full course, or you may choose to take just some of the classes.
Target Audience:
Professionals who work with older adults and their caregivers.
Location:
Online via Zoom.
Dates & Times:
Every other Tuesday from 3-5pm between 1/7/25* to 5/13/25.
*Class will start at 2:30pm on January 7th.
Continuing education for social workers
Licensed social workers in NYS are eligible for 2 CEUs per class.
Lifespan of Greater Rochester is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers # SW-0089.
Cost - EARLY BIRD SPECIAL AVAILABLE UNTIL 11/29/24.
Full price: $500. Early bird rate: $400!
You may also take specific classes and pay by the number of classes you want to take. Classes are $55 each; $50 each with early bird rates!
