Lifespan to help Rochester’s older adults apply for benefits.
A grant from the National Council on Aging is allowing Lifespan to reach out to older adults in traditionally underserved neighborhoods to screen them for benefits and assist with applications and follow-up. Between March and November 2024, an additional $471,685 in benefits has been secured for older adults.

Satisfaction surveys by text and phone.
It’s not a scam. As of July 2024, Lifespan’s clients may be asked about their satisfaction with our service via text messages or automated phone calls.

Our Silverline service won the Carol Ritter Award in June 2024.
The award recognizes an individual volunteer or a volunteer group for their outstanding volunteer service in the Greater Rochester area. Silverline matches homebound older adults with friendly callers.

The website provides people of any age transportation options matched to their needs. Those options may include public transportation, taxi and specialized services like wheelchair or door- to-door. Try it out!
