Nearly half of older adults over the age of 75 have some type of hearing loss. Signs, types, and causes of hearing loss will be explored. Students will understand the social and emotional impacts of hearing loss. We will identify different strategies and devices used by people with hearing loss and how professionals can improve access to their services for people with hearing loss. (3 contact hours)
