Remember ‘the talk’ when your kids were pre-teens? Now it’s time for ‘The Other Talk.’ There are many decisions to make as we age. Financial and legal planning are essential, but equally important is sharing what is important to you with your family. For many families, enlisting the help of a neutral facilitator can help. These guided family conversations foster collaboration and creative problem solving to identify family-driven solutions. There may still be squirming, but sharing with your family what is important to you is the gift that will guide them when they most need it.
