Living Healthy with Diabetes Online

Evidence-based self-management program developed by Stanford University, overseen by the Self-Management Resource center. Addresses physical, emotional, and social impacts of living with or caring for someone with type 2 diabetes, and healthy strategies for living comfortably and remaining active. Incorporates a “toolbox” which includes healthy eating, reading labels, exercising, managing stress, sleep, communication with loved ones and health providers, problem-solving, action planning, and managing difficult emotions. Also covers factors impacting blood sugar, monitoring blood glucose, foot care, avoiding complications, and menu planning.

Fridays, 9:30 am - noon, once week for 6 weeks, 2.5-hour classes.

  • Start date: Friday, March 5. You may register for this class until Friday, March 12.

  • End date: Friday, April 9.

$20 suggested contribution payable by check to Lifespan. No one is turned away for inability to contribute.
