Tai Chi for Arthritis & Fall Prevention Online

Workshop designed to reduce pain, stiffness, decreased range of motion, balance concerns associated with arthritis, and to promote fun, social means of increasing strength, flexibility and coordination. The principles of focus are on weight transference, imagining resistance, slow, non-stop movement, upright posture, loosening the joints, and focusing on movement. As we focus on movement, we are present, concentrating on breathing from the diaphragm to promote calm and peace. This class is not just for those with arthritis, but anyone who would like a more mindful way to exercise. Lifespan instructors have been trained in the Sun Style, developed by Dr. Paul Lam, with the Tai Chi for Health Institute.

Class is held Tuesdays and Fridays, 11:30 am - 12:30 pm. This program is held two times a week for 8 weeks. There are 15 classes (no class on June 18).

Starts May 4 and ends June 15. Registration closes May 14.
