Powerful Tools for Caregivers

Class is in person at Lifespan every Wednesday beginning July 31st through August 21st from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Dates: July 31, August 7, 14, 21, 28, and September 4

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a 6-week educational program that focuses on the needs of family caregivers of individuals with chronic conditions. Family caregivers develop a variety of self-care tools to:
• Reduce personal stress
• Change negative self-talk
• Communicate their needs to family members and healthcare providers
• Communicate more effectively in challenging situations
• Deal with difficult feelings
• Make tough caregiving decisions
Class participants also receive a copy of The Caregiver Helpbook, developed specifically for the class. This is a free class for family caregivers of someone with a chronic illness and/or dementia.
