Powerful Tools for Caregivers at Lifespan

This class series will meet in person at Lifespan beginning Tuesday, April 1 through Tuesday, May 6 from 1-2:30 pm.
Dates: April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, and May 6

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a 6-week educational program that focuses on the needs of family caregivers of individuals with chronic conditions. Family caregivers develop a variety of self-care tools to:
• Reduce personal stress
• Change negative self-talk
• Communicate their needs to family members and healthcare providers
• Communicate more effectively in challenging situations
• Deal with difficult feelings
• Make tough caregiving decisions
Class participants also receive a copy of The Caregiver Helpbook, developed specifically for the class. This is a free class for family caregivers of someone with a chronic illness and/or dementia.
