Evidence-based self-management program developed by Stanford University. Addresses physical, emotional, and social impacts of living with or caring for someone with a chronic health condition, and healthy strategies for living comfortably and remaining active. Incorporates a “toolbox” which includes healthy eating, reading labels, exercising, managing stress, sleep, communication with loved ones and health providers, problem-solving, making action plans, and managing difficult emotions.
Class is SIX weeks on Wednesdays, 9:30 am-noon. 2.5-hour classes.
Start date: Wednesday, February 17. Must attend at least 4 of 6 classes.
End date: Wednesday, March 24
